| Web Designer Position Summary: We are looking for a fulltime employee, part time student helper or intern to support our company’s online activities. General responsibilities will include development, maintenance and administration of technical aspects of all Internet, e-commerce, graphic, and social marketing applications and services. Responsibilities in Detail: • Technical management of the content management systems including content, graphics, affiliate programs, online store, SEM and SEO. • Perform complete testing of website applications. • Incorporate various media assets onto websites. • Keep source code well-maintained at all times per department standards and industry best-practices. • Take creative lead on all graphic design projects. • Other ad-hoc tasks as required by the business. Required Skills: • Take creative lead on all graphic design projects • Experience in Web Design, Web Programming, Computer Science or Computer Information Systems • XHTML/CSS • Experience with the Joomla framework or other similar CMS system (Wordpress or Drupal) • Experience with PHP • Experience with File Transfer Protocol • Web-servers and hosting of websites • Experience with cross-browser testing • Demonstrated ability to work well within a small development team structure • Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) • Adobe Creative Suite (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator) Other Skills Desired: • Javascript • Experience with Prestashop • Experience with multi-media including video production and product photography • Social Marketing Toolbox: Blog, Facebook, Twitter, Google Analytics Applicants must be able to provide examples of work done in the past. | |
