Airfield Electrical Engineer (Qatar) Job Purpose: To lead and manage the Airfield electrical team to maintain and upkeep all airfield electrical equipments and systems in highly operational condition Job Dimensions: The incumbent will be responsible for the planning, supervision and execution of all preventive, corrective and improvement works and to ensure they are carried out timely and in a safe manner as such not to hinder the airport operations. Principal Accountabilities: * Will be responsible for the day to day operation of all electrical systems within the airfield * Will be responsible for the planning and execution of the preventive maintenance program for all Airfield Electrical systems * Will be responsible for the management and supervision of the Airfield electrical team. * Will be responsible for the response and downtime of airfield electrical lighting systems and the timely rectification. * Will be responsible for all on-calls after office hours and weekends. * Will be responsible for the overseeing of all new projects within the airfield. * Will be responsible for ordering and replenishing all spare parts requirements * Will be responsible for the training of the personnel under his charge * Will be responsible for the proper management of outsourced works to term contractors in the airfield * Will be responsible for the EHS and safety procedures for works within the airside Essential Capabilities: * Should possess at a minimum a Diploma in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of three years full time study * Should have a minimum of 5 years of works experience in a commercial airport, overseeing the airfield electrical systems * Should be well versed with Microsoft office and Autocad Ver 14. * Should be able to interpret and comment on all drawings and specifications involving the airfield system * Should have good leadership capabilities and ability to lead a team of supervisors and technicians to undertake work around the clock. * Should have good verbal and written communication skills * Should be well versed with the ICAO requirements and recommendations for the airfield electrical systems and signages Educational Qualifications: Possess a Diploma in (Electrical Engineering) from a government institution with a minimum of three years full time study or equivalent Experience: Minimum of five(5) years of work experience in a commercial airport in the airfield lighting & equipment systems. The incumbent should be well versed, both theoretically and practically in all airfield electrical systems and equipments. Compentencies: * Well versed with Microsoft office and Autocad 14 version * Strong written correspondence ability * Should be well versed with ICAO requirements for an aerodrome operating at CAT II, CAT III and CODE E. * Should possess a light vehicle driving licence
