The team includes Engineers, MBAs, Intellectual Property Lawyers, Medical Doctors, PhDs, Chartered Accountants, Statisticians and other top-level professionals from all over the world. These analysts are located in Gurgaon, India, Shanghai, China and Valparaíso, Chile – supported by a worldwide team of EVS Client Executives located in N. America, Europe, Asia, S. America and the Middle East.

Evalueserve has been selected as a Red Herring 100 Asia Winner for 2006 on July 31, 2006, with convincing performance in business model, profitability forecast, management team and technology.

EVS China provides customized research services on China, Japan and South Korea to its global clients with its business focus on Business Research, Investment Research, Intellectual Property Research and Market Research. Since its inception in August, 2005, EVS China has experienced rapid development. We have around 160 employees at present and most of them are from top universities. In current staff, almost all team leaders and above are MBA graduates and senior analysts are master graduates. Driven by ever-increasing demands from our clients, we are always looking for new talent to support our growth.

Evalueserve Investment Research
• Equity Research: We provide equity research operation support for buy side and sell side equity research teams at large investment banks in US, Europe and Asia Pacific. This involves supporting lead analysts in various industry sectors as well as research support for proprietary research products. Following are the projects that EVS has done:
o Sell side:-
 Equity research for one of the world’s largest investment banks
 The client is one of the world’s largest banks with a presence in over 76 countries.
 The client is present across various service lines, including corporate and investment banking in equities, fixed income, commodities, corporate finance, private banking and asset management.
 Evalueserve currently has a team of about 70 analysts who work with this client in the area of equity research, supporting sector analysts across various geographies.
 Key tasks involve tracking industry sectors, preparing valuation models, writing initiation reports and other ad-hoc research reports, and producing and maintaining proprietary financial products.
 Evalueserve has been working with this client for more then one-and-half years and has a long-term relationship with them. The scope of this relationship is expected to expand into other areas of the bank, such as fixed income research and investment banking.
o Buy side:-
 Equity research for a major European private bank
 Our client is a leading European private bank, which provides asset management and investment counselling products and services to private and institutional investors.
 Our client is interested in initiating coverage of attractive Asian stocks, given that Asia is slated to be a major growth region in the coming years.
 Evalueserve is currently involved in providing buy-side research by initiating coverage for more than 50 Asian stocks for this private bank.
 The work involves initiating coverage on select Asian stocks as well as updating models and reports on a quarterly basis.
 Evalueserve currently has a team of ten analysts working for this client account.
• Corporate Finance: We provide investment banking research services to deal team at large investment bank in US and Europe. The project includes working for mergers and acquisitions, IPOs and secondary offerings. Following are the projects that EVS has done:
o A leading bank of Switzerland provides asset management and investment counselling to private and institutional investors from around the world. Since, Asia is a major potential growth region; the client wants to look at Asian stocks as well to include them in its portfolio. The work at Evalueserve involves providing buy side research for 1,000 stocks involving updating of existing historical data on them. A team of 30 analysts is currently working on this project.
o The client is a Corporate Finance division of a leading provider of financial services. It is responsible for providing advisory and investment banking related products to its clients. The project involves creating profiles of companies in various industries, such as software and communications, pharmaceuticals, apparel, semiconductors, etc. The profiles include company descriptions, products and services overview, key customers, recent news, debt capacity analysis, key financial data and top management information. These profiles help clients gain an insight into major players in a particular sector. The team size for these projects varies from 4 to 6 people; and these are very short duration projects.

The position available is Korean Investment Research Analyst. We are looking for an analyst for our Shanghai office having relevant experience in investment research with strong interest and exposure to equities, who is able to conduct in-depth financial modeling and write marketable investment reports.

Desired profile and skills:
- Research, modeling and/or corporate finance experience of 1-4 years in investment banks, pension funds, private equity firms, research areas of broker firms.

- Degree in business or engineering with specialization in finance or economics or a degree in public accountancy, with a strong academic record (MBA and/or CFA a plus)

- Strong skills in financial modeling, analysis and report writing. Ability to understand and analyze industry and company trends and form investment arguments

- Excellent written and oral communication skills in Japanese and English required

- Native Korean


Title: Investment Analyst

Responsibilities
1. Collecting financial data using on-line and other sources;
2. Coordinating and maintaining databases;
3. Creating and maintaining computer spreadsheet models;
4. Listening to and summarizing investment conference calls;
5. Miscellaneous equity projects including writing parts of research reports;
6. Analysing companies based on their published financial statements and annual reports;

Requirements
1. Native Korean;
2. Majored in Finance, Economics and related;
3. Excellent computer skills including spreadsheets, word processing and graphics;
4. Analytical skills and an interest in learning about the investment process;
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
6. CFA holder or candidates are highly welcome.


Title: Senior Investment Analyst

Responsibilities:
1. Collecting financial data using on-line and other sources;
2. Coordinating and maintaining databases;
3. Creating and maintaining computer spreadsheet models;
4. Listening to and summarizing investment conference calls;
5. Miscellaneous equity projects including writing parts of research reports.
6. Analysing companies based on their published financial statements and annual reports.
7. Making different valuation metrics and their relevance in different sectors/ companies.

Requirements:
1. Native Korean.
2. Bachelor's/Masters degree with a major in accounting or finance.
3. Strong accounting or financial skills required.
4. 2+ years of related work experience preferred.
5. Excellent computer skills including: spreadsheets, word processing and graphics.
6. The ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and strong attention to detail.
7. Analytical skills and an interest in learning about the investment process
8. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
9. Enrolment in the CFA (AIMR) program will be an added advantage.
