Department: Operations and Customer Service
Location: Hong Kong
Salary: TBA

Hierarchical report to: Managing Director (Singapore based)
Functional report to: Operations and Customer Service Director (Paris based – Headquarters)

Objective:
The Technical Manager is in charge of monitoring the quality and productivity of containers manufacturing as well as participating in new products development.

Main duties and responsibilities:

 Pre-construction:
o Establish technical specifications;
o Attend to the sourcing of materials, tools and equipments;
o Audit & recommend manufacturers;
o Audit and recommend suppliers and subcontractors;
o Coordinate and manage the quality control of material supply.
 Construction:
o Establish & monitor production inspection process by third party inspectors;
o Administer contracts and meet construction schedules by planning, monitoring, cost control, quality control and execution;
o Perform occasional production inspection;
o Ensure HSE standards are complied and followed strictly by sub-contractors.
 Finance:
o Budget reconciliation;
o Liaising with the plant to resolve any technical disputes that may arise.
 Other:
o Occasionally organize and coordinate depot audits
o Occasionally conduct off lease survey
o To carry out post-project reviews with each plant on completion of each project and draw learning points, so that future projects can be better performed.
o Business intelligence and technological watch for new product development;
o Ensure information system is always up to date;
o Provide reporting levels on a timely and regular basis;
o Perform any other duties, from time to time, as may be assigned.
Profile: Autonomous, enthusiastic, detail oriented, tenacious, process oriented, rigorous, committed, energetic and dynamic.

Knowledge and abilities:
 Willingness to travel up to 80% of your time;
 Ability to express self effectively, both orally and in writing;
 Ability to establish effective working relationships;
 Ability to work in a fast paced environment and being a team player in an international team a must;
 Proven track record in the technical fields of the container industry (dry standard, dry specials, reefers);
 Solid computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel;
 Hong Kong national and resident;
 Proficiency in English and Mandarin.
