Investment Research Analyst Job description (Investment Research): Specific activities will include: · Collecting financial data using on-line and other sources; · Coordinating and maintaining databases; · Creating and maintaining computer spreadsheet models; · Listening to and summarizing investment conference calls; · Miscellaneous equity projects including writing parts of research reports. · Analysing companies based on their published financial statements and annual reports. · Making different valuation metrics and their relevance in different sectors/ companies. Fundamental requirements: Bachelor's/Masters degree with a major in accounting or finance. · Strong accounting or financial skills required. · Excellent computer skills including: spreadsheets, word processing and graphics. · The ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and strong attention to detail. · Analytical skills and an interest in learning about the investment process · Excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ideal candidates will be flexible, proactive, resourceful, and detail-oriented with strong follow-through skills and will have demonstrated the ability to handle sensitive or highly confidential information with discretion and tact. Enrolment in the CFA (AIMR) program will be an added advantage.
